The Ohio Department of Health has revised the school immunization requirements to more closely reflect the most recent recommendations of the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.
New Immunization requirements for the 2010-2011 school year are:
- Children entering the 7th grade will need either a Tdap or Td booster
- Children entering Kindergarten will need a 2nd dose of varicella (Chickenpox) vaccine
- Children entering Kindergarten must have received their 4th dose of polio after their 4th birthday or an additional dose will be needed.
