The health status of Clermont County youth is being assessed through a survey of 4th graders. The Health District is doing the survey to determine baseline information on health habits of youth in Clermont County, particularly physical activity and nutrition. The information obtained from the survey will enable the Health District to best target prevention efforts in the future.
The survey is being conducted by Health District staff coordinating with principals, nurses and nurse aides in each elementary school. All information about students is completely anonymous. A copy of the questions being asked can be found here. Results of the survey are expected during the summer 2009 and will be available to each participating school district and through this website.
The survey is funded through a grant from the Ohio Department of Health’s Office of Healthy Ohio.
