All 67 schools in Clermont County are inspected on an annual basis to help ensure a safe, healthy, and productive environment for all students and staff. The buildings, room environments, kitchen facilities, laboratories, industrial arts rooms, school grounds, athletic facilities, and playgrounds are checked for health and safety hazards. Procedures such as emergency drills, medications dispensing, maintenance of air filtration systems, hazardous materials storage, and pest control are evaluated.
On a quarterly basis the Health District sends the schools a list of recalled products that may be in use at the school. The schools use this tool to help ensure the products & materials they use are safe. The use of any material or product school staff finds that are subject to the recalls is to be discontinued.
