When traveling abroad some vaccines may be recommended or required. The Health District uses the immunization recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control to determine the vaccines needed by each traveler. The Health District provides the following vaccinations for international travel:
- Hep A
- Hep B
- IPV (Inactivated Polio Vaccine)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella)
- Tdap (Tetanus, Diptheria and Pertussis
- Typhoid
- Yellow Fever
- Varivax (Chicken Pox)
- Pneumonia
- TB skin tests (Tubersulosis skin test)
- Influenza (Flu – seasonal)
The Health District also provides information regarding the types of anti-malarial medication that are available; however the traveler will need to contact their private health care provider to obtain a prescription for the medication.
